The Average Modeller
The Average Modeller Blog was started in early 2017 while I struggled through a build review of the Diopark Mercedes for Darren at Armorama, it has enabled me to express my thoughts feelings and frustrations about a hobby I love and for being in my opinion an average modeller. To some, modelling comes naturally and others see it as some kind of expressive art form, there are those that do it for a living and those who use it to relax, me I find it a frustrating distraction from the normalities of life that has me smiling and banging my head against the wall in equal measure. Modelling for me is a bit of a journey, travelling through the battles and frustrations that I go through just to find the time and inspiration to get myself to the workbench, my annoyance at the limited opportunities to be consistent in a hobby where practice definitely makes perfect most of which are of my own doing. So this blog just represents me, my modelling thoughts and feelings and just striving hard to express myself in an amazing hobby full of fantastic modellers and maybe one day I will be a bit more than just an average modeller.
