About

My name is Jason Bettis and I have been modelling since the autumn/winter of 1992 when I purchased and built, with my Step Dad the old Tamiya 1/35 Sd.kfz.223 to amateur standards. My models tend to get started and very rarely finished much to my frustration and irritation. I love to build a Tamiya kit whether it is in 1/35 or 1/48 and usually armour. My aspirations are to build some aircraft however cockpits and gluing the 2 halves together scares me and to paint figures to add to dioramas and vignettes however when I have attempted figure painting they end up staring back at me with dead eyes…. The inspiration for this blog came to me after I was handed a kit and asked to review it in the car park of the international centre Telford last November during Scale Model World. Once I had started to build it I realised that there was more to this wonderful hobby than just building painting and showing off your handy work and voila the idea of this blog was born. I am just an average modeller doing my best to surprise myself and to build that much vaunted masterpiece.
